Change is one of life’s constants and we’ve had a few changes in the Dogs for Kids Board.
After two years in the role of Board Director, Brian Vella has tendered his resignation due to work commitments. During his time on the Board, Brian (with the help of his amazing team at AKQA) was instrumental in the design and implementation of our new logo and website; provided support in facilitating strategic workshops; implemented introductions that resulted in new partnerships that support the program; and gave insights around governance and compliance at Board level. We are extremely sad to see him go but thank him sincerely for his passion and commitment to Dogs for Kids and for the gift of his time to the role.
After an incredible eight years, Dogs for Kids’ founder Katie Hunter has chosen to step down from her position of Board Director. Katie remains integral to Dogs for Kids in her varied and demanding role of enriching and enhancing our busy programs, and will still work closely with the Board. We appreciate her trust in the Board to develop and implement the strategies required to take the organisation forward and ensure its continued sustainability.
The Board has also been fortunate to secure two new members, Shae Brenchley and Katelyn Butterss. Shae brings extensive social media and branding experience that will definitely be put to good use, and Katelyn is well versed in policy and communication with a Master of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice . The Board welcomes their perspectives and viewpoints and looks forward to the opportunity of working with them to help Dogs for Kids achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
BCV Financial Solutions is a long time supporter and sponsor of Dogs for Kids so it is with great pleasure we welcome Sean Limpens to the Board in the role of Treasurer.  Sean will oversee the financial administration of the organisation, review procedures and financial reporting and advise the board on financial strategy.
Working together great things can be achieved.
